King of Prussia, PA -- September 2, 2009 -- Otovation, a leading provider of innovative diagnostic products for the hearing care industry, is pleased to announce a major upgrade and addition to its OTOPod line, and release of a new wireless adapter and versions of Symphony software.
The Company´s OTOPod M1 has been enhanced to provide faster and more reliable wireless operation and also improved patient communications. The M1 is now shipping with our newly designed OTONet wireless adapter, which provides significant improvements in the speed and reliability of the wireless communications. Also included in this release is a
major series of enhancements to our Symphony and Symphony NOAH Module software, which makes diagnostic testing even faster and easier than before.
Otovation is also now performing field testing of its next OTOPod model, the M2. The OTOPod M2 combines diagnostic audiometry with hearing instrument programming for Widex hearing aids.
The uniquely portable OTOPod M2 includes air, bone and speech audiometry combined with programming capability for ISP and Dual ISP hearing aids made by Widex. Used in conjunction with NOAH 3 and Widex’s Compass fitting software, OTOPod M2 permits
the hearing care professional to perform a diagnostic audiogram and program Widex hearing aids without additional equipment.

OTOPod M1 customers who wish to upgrade may purchase the OTOPod, OTONet Adapter and Symphony Upgrade Package and exchange their existing OTOPod.
All new OTOPods (both model M1 & M2 when released) will include the OTONet Adapter. Amplitude T-Series audiometers will continue to be supplied with the Ezurio Bluetooth adapter.
Current OTOPod and Amplitude T-Series customers may obtain the new Symphony and Symphony NOAH Module as a free software upgrade available by download from Otovation or from an authorized Otovation distributor. This option will allow
current OTOPod and Amplitude customers to take advantage of the many new software features added in this latest version.
The new version of Symphony and NOAH Module software include a variety of new features and improvements, including:
- An improved user interface and control panels for air, bone, and speech testing
- Quicker and more intelligent connection via the new OTONet wireless adapter
- New speech testing features including individual words/phrases and customized wordlist creation
